Happy Fourth of July, friends! Whether you're heading to a barbecue, watching fireworks, or just soaking up some summer sun, I hope today brings you joy, laughter, and maybe a popsicle, or two.
Speaking of sweet summer fun, I’ve got a free printable craft that’s perfect for those long sunny days with your little ones—The Summer Scoops Bucket List!

This simple and screen-free activity lets kids dream of summer adventures and track them in the most delicious way possible: with scoops of ice cream. 🍨
✂️ What You’ll Need:
The free printables I created (grab them [here — link to PDF])
Scissors
Glue stick or double-sided tape
Crayons, markers, paint, or colored pencils (whatever you like to color with)
🎨 How to Make Your Summer Scoops Bucket List
Print the PDF pages: one with the cone and one with the blank scoops.
Then Print as many additional scoops as you’d like—you can build a tall tower of summer fun!
For younger kids, cut out the cone and scoops ahead of time to make things easier.
Let your child color the cone and scoops however they like—rainbow sprinkle ice cream, anyone?
Glue the scoops in a stack on top of the cone to build your ice cream tower.
Next, write (or draw), or glue one summer activity on each scoop—ideas like “go to the library,” “plant a flower,” “have a picnic,” or “look for fireflies.”
As you complete each activity let your kids mark it on the scoops however your family likes. You can color in the printable tabs, or cross of each item as you do it.
It’s a great way to build excitement, encourage planning, and celebrate summer one sweet scoop at a time. 🍦
💡 Summer Activity Ideas to Get You Started:
Visit the library 📚
Take a hike 🥾
Paint rocks and hide them 🪨
Make homemade popsicles 🍓
Have a pajama day 🌈
Stargaze with a blanket and snacks ✨
Read a book under a tree 📖
This little project is simple, low-prep, and full of heart. Whether you're a parent, grandparent, babysitter, or teacher planning summer fun, it’s a great way to stay intentional while keeping the magic of childhood alive.
Wishing you and your family a safe, joy-filled Fourth of July and a summer full of sweet moments. ❤️🤍💙
